If you've been searching for the Casablanca Palisades fan for any amount of time then you may be ready to start pulling your hair out. You find what appear to be adds for it online and they only seem to lead to one dead end after another. So whats the deal?
The deal is that this particular fan has been discontinued but it's a very popular name, so marketers are still more than happy to make hay with it. They drew you in a few times didn't they? Then of course they tried to sell you something else.

You see the name Palisades is the name of a city in New York State, so it can't be copyrighted or trademarked. Anyone can use it and they do. In fact there's even now a ceiling fan company named Palisades Fans. You can bet your right arm that this is just the reason Casablanca dropped the name.
Not to worry though because there are still are some clearance wholesalers out there that do carry the fan made by Casablanca and they most likely are available at a discount as well. However they won't last forever and you may have your work cut out for you here as well.

This is because any wholesale or used fan dealer or anyone that sells “anything” for that matter is free to use the word (Palisades) in their online advertising and promotional material. Hence; get ready to be led down some advertising dead ends.
Now there is one consideration that you may not have thought of. This is that Casablanca may have simply abandoned the name but kept the fan or at least a similar model. A simple name change would only make sense if the Casablanca Palisades fan was in deed a popular seller.
