Lasko is a company that produces a fairly diverse range of home related products, including Christmas tree stands, mobile space and room heaters, molded plastic utility & tool boxes, humidifiers and of course there is also a line of indoor, as well as Lasko outdoor fans.
With so many fan manufacturers out there butting heads, the decision makers at Lasko long ago decided to take a different path. What they did was confine their line of fans to strictly floor & table models. However there's more to it then that.
They also decided to head off any impending competition by designing and producing a huge lineup of feature laden and even “designer” style fans. Fans that that start out in size and price range with tiny clip on fans and go all the way up to large outdoor floor fans that look like furniture.
It's really quite surprising how far Lasko designers and engineers have strayed from the conventional “floor fan look” with some of their more contemporary & models. The surprising thing about it though, is that these often futuristic appearing fans are also some of the most energy efficient and powerful fans on the market. They also do a far better job of distributing air in a room as well. It's really quite amazing what they have done.
Even so, at Lasko they have managed to hold on to the old as they have forged on with the new. You can see this quite well in their selection of simple and affordable classic fans like window fans that pop right into a window frame and simple & indestructible solid plastic box fans.
However; what most people find to be the most notable work of functional industrial art in the Lasko outdoor fans lineup, is their “must see”, one of a kind fans that are designed to look like a decorative exterior wooden post, complete with crown cap.
