NuTone Ceiling Fans: A Different Fan Company

NuTone is a manufacturing and design company based out of Cincinnati Ohio that has been around since 1936. It operated independently for decades, until it was acquired by Nortek in 1998. Nortek is a member of the Broan Group.

While they do have a line of what you would call classic bladed ceiling fans, it really isn't very expansive. Also the all of the fans that make up that line occupy a price range running between $80 and somewhere upwards of $170.

The NuTone Ultra Silent Series

What NuTone has chosen to focus on instead, is their line of encased room fans. The type you would find mounted in kitchens and bathrooms. In this area their line is quite extensive and includes their Ultra Silent Series. They're recognized as high quality units that contain all the very latest feature innovations.

Another appreciable aspect of this company, as it pertains to ceiling fans, is the wide range of hardware accessories that they manufacture and sell. This line includes fan switching mechanisms, down-rods, mounting brackets and interchangeable lighting components.

NuTone 48 Inch Proline Indusrial Ceiling Fan

NuTone Ceiling Fans also has a selection of what are described as commercial & Industrial grade hung ceiling fans. Now this line is limited but what they do have is very affordable and well made. It's also worth noting that they carry the necessary hardware for connecting up extensive multi-fan commercial systems.

So while this fan company doesn't compete well with other manufactures that feature more decorative fans, the niche that they do occupy, which is the more utilitarian sector, they dominate quite well.
